Image Bank - Blur

Blurring is similar to slow-sync flash; the only difference is that there isn't a still image with a blur image, as the whole thing is blurred. This technique is good for shooting transport such as trains and cars, as well as showing the movement from people in a busy street. For instance, the first image has been taken in London, and the blurring has come from cars on the road, whereby we can only see the colours from their head lights, which have blurred the length of the road, making the car looking invisible because it was moving so fast in relation to the camera's shutter speed. The second image is black and white, of a dog jumping up to the camera. The dog is slightly blurred as he has moved whilst jumping up at the photographer, making its legs look distorted. The blurring of this image makes the dog look more excited as it was moving so fast because it was so happy. The third image is also black and white, but it has been taken in a studio. There is a black background, with a woman standing in the center, but she has moved slightly so that it almost looks like she has two blurred faces. The fourth image is probably the most blurred out of this selection, it has been taken of a boy, but it looks as though there is almost four of him, as the camera has been moved so that his entire body - including his hands and face have been blurred across the frame. The last two images have been taken in public places, one in a train station and the other in a street, in these images we can see people walking quickly because their legs and bodies have been blurred in the shot.
