Image Bank - Personal Project (Identity)

This is the image bank for my personal project - Identity. I have split the photos in two, the first being the identity of people and the other being the identity of places. The first image is a portrait of a girl, with red hair. However, in the center of her face she has a prism of different images of her facial features. Therefore, she has multiple mouths and eyes, but we cannot see her actual face in its original structure. This disguises her face so we cannot see what she looks like. The second image again, is of a girl but close up to her face, although her face actually isn't there. This image has been edited so that there are no features on the girls face, and it also looks as though the skin on her face has been sliced into strips - like ribbon, and there is blood dripping from these. This photo is disturbing and mysterious, which adds an edge to the idea of 'identity' - or the lack of it. The third image is another 'disguised identity' photo, whereby there two models in the photo, with white bags over their heads, which have drawn faces on them. The rest of the image is black, so the most distinctive part of the image is the white bags and faces drawn on them. The other three images are of architecture and places. The first image is of the side of a building, and depth is portrayed as the building looks narrower at the top, I also like that there is a bird close to the image flying past, but it is a black silhouette because the photo is in black and white. The second image is of a train carriage, there are no models in this image and it is very blurry apart from the foreground, where you can slightly see the design and texture of the seats. The last image is of a street with lots of roads, and we can see movement from the cars, as the photo has been overexposed to the point where the lights from the cars have been stretched along the road. I also like that the images are in black and white because the lights and details are more defined.
