There are lots of different ways to use animation within photography. For instance it could show movement such as the wind, or the movement of a vehicle, this would be like a video, or a small part of the image can be the only thing that moves, and the rest of the image is still. Another way of editing animation is to change the colour of the shot. In the screenshot of the first animation, the only thing moving is the man sitting down in the background of the shot, turning the page of his newspaper. Although this is very subtle, the image itself has captured loads of different people rushing through the street, but using this part as animation has emphasized the only man sitting still and relaxing. Similarly, the third image has created the complete opposite effect. In this animation, the train is moving quickly past the train station, where one man is sitting on the platform alone, meaning that we focus on him, especially as the train moving is blurry as a result of the animation. This creates a lonely, sad feeling because everything is moving except the man sitting on the ground. The animation is also black and white which adds to the emotion. I chose the fourth animation because it is extremely simple, yet effective. The photographer has created an animation of the waves in sea and the clouds in the sky moving along. I particularly like this because it is an ordinary landscape, yet the animation adds something extra to it, and it makes it much more realistic. I chose the last animation because it has shown me a different technique to shooting photographs, the moving image is shot in a wind-mirror of a car, so it has framed the image but this also shows us a reflection of what is behind the photographer. A lot of bright lights are shown as it is reflecting off the mirror. I like that everything is still, yet everything in the mirror is moving.
